From October This Country now gives Visa on arrival to all Africans

Ethiopia is to issue visa on arrival to all Africans starting Nov. 9, according to Fitsum Arega, chief of staff at the Ethiopian Prime Minister. In a press statement, Arega said the visa-on-arrival policy for fellow African visitors is in line with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s vision of a closer and full integration in the continent. “Consistent with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s vision of a closer and full regional integration in Africa, where minds are open to ideas and markets are open to trade, Ethiopia will start on arrival visa to all Africans starting from Nov. 9, 2018,” Arega said. Ethiopia hopes the visa-on-arrival initiative would facilitate the economic integration of Africa by pushing tourist flow to a higher level and help advance conference tourism. NACA – 81,481 persons live with HIV in Ondo state Nigeria .

The National Agency for Control of Aids (NACA) has confirmed that no fewer than 81,481 persons live with HIV in Ondo state. Dr Sani Aliu, the Director-General of the National Agency for Control of Aids (NACA), made this known on Thursday when he paid a visit to Oba Victor Kiladejo, the Osemawe of Ondo, in order to seek the king’s support to mobilise his subjects for NACA survey in the area. The NACA DG, who was represented by Mrs Josephine Kalu, the Director of Resource Mobilisation of NACA, said that 10,000 persons out of the affected persons were on treatment. “Based on spectrum estimate we have, 81,481 persons that are living with HIV in Ondo State as at 2017 and out of the figure 10,000 persons are on treatment including 2,783 pregnant women. “Also, the estimate for new HIV infection is 5,439 persons,” he said. According to him, the survey is the largest HIV population based survey in Nigeria being supported by the U.S. and Global Funds. …
