We are seeking to engage the services of a Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for managing the costs on all construction projects by therefore ensuring that all the company’s construction projects are completed within the stipulated budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Price / forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the projects.
Prepare, tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.
Assist in the measurement and valuation of work done on site.
Frequently liaise with the client and other construction professional, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers.
Support in the review of architectural plans and prepare quantity needs.
Analyse costs for maintenance and additional building needs.
Keep track of constructions materials and inventory.
Identify potential financial or construction risks.
Document all progress, materials, and report on project.
Analyse completed projects to determine ROI and compare costs.
Must be able to analyse financial records and apply data to improve results.
Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, or any related field
2years and above of general construction estimating experience and quantity surveying experience.

Construction Manager

We are looking for a construction manager who will be responsible for the planning, directing, coordinating or budgeting of activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.

And also will participate in the conceptual development of construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Schedule Projects in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
Determine labour requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.
Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.
Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Obtain all necessary permits and licenses.
Direct and supervise workers. Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
Select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project, such as painting or plumbing.
Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects.
Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.
Develop and implement quality control programs.
Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans.
Other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Management.
REQUIREMENTS

A good University Degree in the field of Civil/Construction Engineering
Additional Degree such as an MBA will be an added advantage.
A minimum of 2-5years Civil/construction Engineering experience undertaking project management responsibilities.
