Job Description

We are currently seeking to hire a Senior Pre-sales &Technical Consultant who will support sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions.
The successful candidate will utilize their technical knowledge and understanding of our products & services to support acquisition of new customers, expansion of existing customer relationship, marketing events, and potentially delivery of services to a customer (in terms of professional services or implementation support).
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be joining an established business with growth aspirations underpinned by an on-track Business Plan.
Job Role
The Senior Pre-Sales & Technical Consultant will:

To support the sales team with customer-facing technical pre-sales assistance
Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm
Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
Secures from customer technical staff commitments needed to ensure a deal’s “technical close”
Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.
To deliver product presentations and demonstrations in a professional manner and to agreed time frames, and provide support at external and internal customer facing events
Build technical relationship with prospects and/or existing customers; as well as productive relationships internally, fostering teamwork by keeping colleagues updated on activities
If requested, provide after-sales technical support services either as a backup to implementation staff or as project personnel on a customer specific project.
Take a leading role in specifying technical solutions and writing proposals and tender responses.
To structure and produce compelling commercial and technical documentation outlining the cost savings and business benefits to clients
To assume responsibility for running a bid team, where relevant
Interface with the implementation / project team, articulating customer requirement, to ensure smooth transition from Sale to Delivery
Adhere to the company’s quality and business processes.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:

At best, proven IT pre-sales services experience in a similar position
Qualifications to include some or all of the following technologies: ̶ Oracle, IBM, Huawei, Hitachi, Vertiv, Microsoft, VMware
Good commercial acumen
Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to explain and present technical solutions
Excellent relationship-building skills
Affinity to both sales and technology functions
Previous experience working for a competitor in a similar position would be a strong advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology or Engineering discipline
